SummitRidge Hospital offers an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) to adolescents ages 11–17. This programming is usually up to four weeks.
Patients can attend treatment with their own psychiatrist and therapist while still attending IOP sessions. Groups after school allow students to stay involved in their education and affected by the ups and downs of peer and social relationships. Program curriculum is focused on processing the emotional and behavioral needs of each patient while practicing and developing new skills. Evening IOP does offer snacks, but no evening meal is provided. Families have an opportunity to attend weekly groups and provide feedback. This program is offered at both our Lawrenceville and Athens locations.
